Requesting tasks

What is a task?

A task is a unit of work that we can do for you. It can be a small change to your website, a new feature, a video, or anything else that you can find in our catalog.

How do I request a new task?

In the portal, please click on the "Request Task" button, or go to our catalog. You will be shown a catalog of options to choose from.

We encourage you to visit our Getting started tutorial, for a visual and interactive guide on how to request a task.

How do I request a task that is not in the catalog?

If you would like to request a task that is not in the catalog, please contact us, and we will be happy to discuss your needs.

Managing tasks

How do I know how my task is going?

You can check the status of your task in the portal. Please go to the dashboard to a board with your tasks.

My task is 'Pending'. What does that mean?

When you request a task, it will be in the 'pending' state by default.

'Pending' tasks mean that we need to review your request, clarify any missing details, and assign it to someone in our team. Once the task is ready to be worked on, we will move it to the 'to do next' state.

My task is 'To do next'. What does that mean?

It means that the task is on our queue, and we will work on it as soon as we have the chance.

For example, in some plans, you might be limited to one active task at a time, so other tasks will be in the 'to do next' state until we finish the current one.

My task is 'In progress'. What does that mean?

It means that we are actively working on it. Please stay tuned for updates!

My task is 'To Review'. What does that mean?

It means that we have finished working on it, and we are waiting for your feedback or approval.

My task is 'Done'. What does that mean?

It means that we have finished working on it, or the task has been canceled.

How can I get my tasks done faster?

If you need your tasks done faster, you can upgrade your plan to a higher tier. Please contact us, and we will be happy to help you.

Can I move my task to a different state?

No, the task states are managed by our team. If you need to change the state of your task or cancel it, please add a comment to the relevant task, and we will be happy to help you.

Can I add a comment to my task?

Absolutely! We encourage you to add comments to your tasks if you need to communicate with us. You can add comments to your tasks by clicking on the task, and then using the text box at the bottom of the page.

Can I add an attachment to my task?

Although our portal does not support attachments yet, you can add attachments to your tasks by adding comments with links to third-party file sharing apps, such as Dropbox (opens in a new tab), Google Drive (opens in a new tab), or WeTransfer (opens in a new tab).

Can I request a new task while another one is in progress?

Yes, you can request other tasks. However, depending on your plan, you might be limited to one active task at a time, so your new task would need to wait until we finish the current one.

How do I set the priorities of my tasks?

In the board, you can drag the tasks in a column to change their order. The tasks at the top of the column have higher priority than the ones at the bottom. For the "To do next" column, we will always work from top to bottom.

How do I cancel a task?

If you need to cancel a task, please add a comment to the relevant task, and we will be happy to help you.
